Food and beverage labels need to comply the Food Standards Code FSANZ (Food Standards Australia New Zealand). FSANZ is a bi‐national government agency which develops and administers the Code. The Code is enforced by individual state, territory and New Zealand agencies. Food, beverage and all product labelling is also impacted by the Australian Consumer Law which is enforced by the ACCC in Australia. Your labels need to comply with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA). But don’t worry that’s all included in each of the Basic Food Labelling Template Kits.
Got a beauty or wellness product? Fear not. The layouts can also be a guide for pharmaceutical products, which will also need to comply with Therapeutic Goods Administration TGA regulations. You can view the Therapeutic Goods Order No. 92 – Standard for labels of non-prescription medicines here.

These files are created in Adobe Illustrator CC. This is the industry standard program for producing labels for product packaging. If you don’t have access to Adobe Illustrator you can use the 7 day FREE TRIAL.
Before jumping into Illustrator, collect all the information that will go on your label.
